A Day in the Life of Dakota Madison

A Day in the Life of Dakota Madison

My bloodhounds usually wake me up between 4:30am and 5:00am. After I let them out and feed them, I start writing. I try to write for at least 90 minutes before I get ready for work. After I write, I ride my exercise bike for 30-45 minutes and Facebook while I am on my bike.

I work as a university professor, so I spend my days grading papers and prepping for lectures. I teach online and in person, so I participate in online discussions with students and I connect with students in the classroom.

When I get home from work, I spend some time with my bloodhounds then I ride my exercise bike for another 20-30 minutes until my husband gets home. We eat dinner and either watch a little television or watch a movie. We usually take the dogs for a walk when it gets dark. I usually write for an hour or two before I go to bed or I read a book.

That’s a typical week day.

On weekends, I run errands and go on dates with my husband. We usually go to a movie and out to eat. I generally spend four to five hours per day on the weekends writing.

That’s a day in the life of Dakota Madison!
